    1 1/2 c dry couscous
    1/2 tsp turmeric
    1 T olive oil

    1/2 c tomato paste
    1 T hot pepper paste or 1 tsp cayenne powder
    1 tsp turmeric
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1 large carrot
    1/4 c peas
    1 medium potato, Quartered
    1 chicken breast, chunked


You will need a stove top double steamer.

Mix couscous with oil and 1/2 tsp turmeric.. be sure that there are no chunks of couscous. the oil should keep the pieces separate. Place in top part of steamer.

Mix 4 cups of water, tomato paste, pepper paste (or powder), turmeric and cumin in the bottom of the steamer. Add vegetables and meat.

Heat until boiling, then reduce to a slow boil. Stir occasionally, and continue to cook (add water as needed) until meat and vegetables are tender, and couscous is fully steamed.

Let sit 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
