Healthy casserole that tastes just like a pizza without all the fat! Healthy casserole that tastes just like a pizza without all the fat!
Number of Servings: 8


    *Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1 cup, chopped
    Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    Mushrooms, fresh, 1.5 cup, pieces or slices
    Pepperoni, 6 slices cut in half
    *Ragu Sauce 1 1/2 Cups
    Italian Stewed Tomatoes 1 can
    *Heart Smart Bisquick 2/3 cup
    Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 4 oz
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    4T. Water
    Garlic Salt
    Italian Seasonings


Brown the meat with garlic salt and italian seasonings. Drain any grease. Add the green peppers, mushrooms, onion (I used a red onion) and stewed tomatoes to meat and let it cook til veggies are tender and tomatoes are cooked down a bit. Add in the sauce (I used Spaghetti sauce but you could use pizza sauce if you want). Cook all together until it simmers. Add your mixture to a 9x13 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle your cheese over your mixyure. In a seperate bowl combine 2/3c Heart Smart Bisquick, 1 egg and 4 T Water (or more if necessary). Mix well and lightly pour over your meat/cheese mixture. Bake at 375 uncovered for about 35 minutes on until done. Serves 8
