    5 cups green apples, peeled,cored and diced(5 tazas de manzanas verdes, peladas, picaditas sin semillas)
    2 oz. lemon juice(2 onzas de jugo de limon)
    3/4 cup Sugar(3/4 tazas de azucar)
    2 tbsp All-purpose Flour(2 cdas de harina todo uso)
    1/2 tsp Salt(1 cdta de sal)
    1/4 tsp Cinnamon(1/4 cdta de canela)
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract(1 cdta extracto de vainilla)
    1/4 cup Water(1/4 taza de agua)
    1 tbsp melted Butter(1 cda mantequilla derretida)

    Top Crust:(cubierta)

    1/2 cup All-purpose Flour, sifted(1/2 taza de harina todo uso cernida)
    1/2 cup Sugar(1/2 taza de azucar)
    1/2 tsp Baking Powder(1/2 cdta de polvo de hornear)
    1/4 tsp Salt(1/4 cdta de sal)
    2 tbsp melted Butter(2 cdas. mantequilla derretida)
    1 Egg, beaten( 1 huevo batido)


!) Before you start, pour lemon juice over apples to prevent the brownish color.Rinse apples before mixing.

2) Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
(precaliente el horno a 375 grados)
3) Butter the 9" square pan.
(engrase un molde cuadrado de 9")
4) In a round bowl, mix all ingredients for the fillings.
( en un recipiente redondo, mezcle todos los ingredientes para el relleno)
5) Turn the mixture into the baking pan.
Put aside.

6) With a wooden spoon, mix the top crust ingredients until batter is smooth.

7) Drop batter in 9 portions over apples.Don't worry if the batter does not cover the entire baking pan because it will spread during baking.

8) Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
