    1 - 19 oz can of kidney beans
    1/8 cup dry lentils
    1 Tbsp canola oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 large stalkof celery, chopped
    1 tsp garlic powder
    2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
    1 cup rice
    1 - 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
    1 - 14 oz can sweet corn
    2 tsp chilli powder
    1 tsp cumin


1. In a large pot heat oil and cook onion and celery until soft.
2. Drain and rinse beans.
3. Stir in beans and all other ingredients.
4. Bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 30 - 40 minutes until the lentils and rice are tender, stirring frequently.
