Ingredients

    1lb lean ground beef
    2 med. onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
    1 19 oz can tomatoes (used Aylmer diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil)
    1 cup uncooked brown long grain rice
    1 head cabbage

Directions

In a large skillet cook lean ground beef until meat is done.Stir in onions, garlic, salt, pepper, tomatoes, and water.Bring to a boil and stir in rice.Cover and simmer about 20 mins or until rice is nearly ready.Layer beef mixture and cabbage.Cover and bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
