This is a healthier lower calorie stew than beef stew. This is a healthier lower calorie stew than beef stew.
Number of Servings: 10


    1# venison, cubed
    3 carrots,cubed
    2 celery stalks,cubed
    4 large potatoes, cut in quarters or cubed
    1 can (16oz) mushrooms
    2 c. beef broth
    16 oz tomatoes
    1 green pepper, cubed
    1 small onion cubed
    2 TB corn starch


Brown the meat and put in crockpot. Put all other ingredients except corn starch in crockpot and cover and cook on low-med for 6 hours.
Salt and pepper to taste. not included in nutritional facts.
After all is done- remove juices from crockpot and put in medium bowl or saucepan and stir in corn starch. Pour these juices back into stew and serve.
Makes 10-1 1/2c servings.
