Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs. Hamburge
    29 oz. can tomato sauce
    28 oz. can whole tomamtoes
    1 whole green pepper, large, chopped
    1 small onion, diced
    1 4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
    1.5 teas. ground garlic
    .25 teas. each salt & pepper
    .25 teas. ground marjoram
    .25 teas. ground sage
    1 TBLS. oregano flakes
    .25 teas. ground thyme
    1 teas. basil
    1.5 teas. sugar
    .5 TBLS. Italian seasoning
    1 bay leaf


Directions

Cook Hamburger until done, season to taste (I use salt, pepper, and Lawry's, not listed in ingred.).
Meanwhile, in a large pot, combine all ingred. When hamburger is done, drain and add to sauce. Cook on low heat until peppers & onions are done & everything is hot. Makes approx. 10 cups. I do .75 cup serving.

    This sounds good, do you pour it over spaghetti? If so is that included in the calories? - 2/28/09

    Yes, I do. Spaghetti noodles are not included in the calories. I forgot to put them in. Also I forgot to put water in the recipe and can't figure out how to add it. I put 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water in. If you like your sauce thicker, don't add the water.
