Really yummy pot roast with gravy to make in the crockpot!!! Really yummy pot roast with gravy to make in the crockpot!!!
Number of Servings: 4


    3 1/2-4 lb Beef Arm or Boneless Pot Roast
    1/4 cup Flour
    2 tsp Salt
    1/8 tsp Pepper
    3 Carrots, pared, sliced lengthwise and cut into 2-inch pieces
    3 Potatoes, peeled and quartered
    1 Medium Onion
    3 Tblsp Flour
    1/4 cup Water


Trim exess fat from roast; brown and drain if using chuck roast or another highly marbled cut. Combine 1/4 cup flour, salt, and pepper. Coat meat with the flour mixture. Place all the vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot and top with the roast. Cover and cook on Low for 10-12 hours.
If desired, turn to High during the last hour to soften the vegetables and make a gravy. To thicken the gravy make a smooth paste with the 3 Tblsp Flour and 1/4 cup Water ans stir into the crock pot. Season to taste before serving.
