Introduction

Ingredients

Cook rice so you end up with 4 cups cooked
Thaw frozen peas, mash well
Cook chicken in teriyaki sauce, dice finely
On the side:
Cup of warm water
Tablespoon of salt
Directions
Cooking times will vary.
I do the following:
20 for rice soak
20 for rice cook
15 for forming rice balls
While the rice cooks, I prep the chicken and peas
Soak the rice for 20 minutes prior to cooking.
Cook in a heavy bottomed pan however the bag says to cook it.
In large bowl mix cooked rice, olive oil, mashed peas until well blended.
In a second small bowl mix some water with salt.
Use a 1/2 cup measure
Wet with salt water, wet your hand with salt water.
Spoon rice in until about half full, pack down.
Add a small amount of chicken.
Fill cup with more rice, pat down.
Wet a plate with salt water (not a puddle, just damp)
Put rice ball on the plate.
Repeat until you have 8 of the 1/2 cup rice balls made.
Makes 8 rice balls, serves four people
