Introduction

Homemade thick cut oven baked fries. YUMMY~!! Homemade thick cut oven baked fries. YUMMY~!!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 russet potatoes
    2 TBL olive oil
    1 TBL chili powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 425. Place cookie sheet in oven while it is pre-heating to get it hot.

Meanwhile, slice potatoes lengthwise into strips / wedges and place in large bowl. Drizzle oil on potatoes and sprinkle seasonings on them. Toss to coat evenly.

When oven is ready, take out cookie sheet and place poatao wedges in singles layer on sheet. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes, turning over once halfway through.

Serving size is roughly 1/2 potato worth of fries.

    My family loved these! Made just like the original recipe. The family loved eating with ketchup or Sweet Baby Ray's hickory and brown sugar bbq sauce. Not too spicy for the 11 y.o. Will be making these again. Used non stick foil over the cookie sheet for easy clean-up. - 10/5/10

    These were very good. I decreased the chili powder to 1tsp and that was a good amount for my taste. I will make these often. YUM!! - 9/8/10
