Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    225 g oat flour*
    55 g rye flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup buttermilk

Directions

Mix dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and stir just until mixed. Turn out onto a floured surface and roll into a large circle 1/2 inch thick. Cut round like a pie into eight pieces. Cook on a griddle or frying pan (dry) at medium heat for about five minutes per side, until browned. Serve with jam, honey, or butter if desired.
*oat flour can be made by grinding rolled oats in a coffee grinder or food processor. In my experience, coffee grinder works best.
