Introduction
My husband introduced me to this. It is a favorite of our family and our new family members! All the measurements are approximate as there has never really been a recipe. I have added it to SP because I needed the nutrional value. My husband introduced me to this. It is a favorite of our family and our new family members! Ingredients
-
Nappa Cabbage (Raw) Chopped 6 Leaves
White Vinegar (SP doesn't list as a choice) 1 Tbsp
Potato (boiled) 1 small
Bacon (cooked) 3-4 slices
Directions
1. Peal and chop potato. Boil in a small saucepan. While that is cooking cut up 3-4 pieces of bacon and cook until desired.
2. While those are cooking chop up 6 leafes of Nappa Cabbage and put into a large bowl. Add 1 small onion sliced. Sprinkle with about a Tablespoon of Vinegar (more if you like it more sour).
3. When the bacon and potato are done cooking, drain the potato and add it to the bacon and mash until all the potato is soft. Do not drain the bacon grease...this all gets mashed together.
4. Pour the bacon and potato mixture over the Nappa Cabbage. Enjoy.
Makes 8 - 1/2 cup servings.
