    7 oz. whole wheat or multigrain elbow macaroni
    1 pound ground beef
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 quart canned tomatoes, chopped, juice reserved
    12 pearl onions or 2 small onions chopped
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese


Prepare macaroni according to package directions.

Brown ground beef, onions and garlic, drain. Add tomatoes and reserved juice. Simmer for 5 minutes or until pasta is done. Toss pasta with beef mixture and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Makes 5 1 1/2 cup servings.
