Smoked Kielbasa with creamy rice. Smoked Kielbasa with creamy rice.
Number of Servings: 4


    2T salted butter or margarine
    3/4C Brown Rice
    1/2C Green Pepper, sliced
    1/2C Red Pepper, sliced
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 Can Reduced Fat Cream of Mushroom Soup
    1 Can Low Fat Chicken Stock
    1 lb. Polish Sausage or Kielbasa (reduced fat), sliced
    1T Worcestershire Sauce
    Dash of Hot Sauce


In large saute pan, melt the butter on medium heat and add the rice and onion. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until onions are translucent. Add the chicken stock and soup and stir well. Add worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Let cook about 10 minutes, until rice is plumped, but not done. Add the bell peppers, and kielbasa and continue cooking until rice is done and kielbasa is heated through.
