Introduction

This makes a filling warm breakfast when you just need a switch from oatmeal. This makes a filling warm breakfast when you just need a switch from oatmeal.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/4 cup quinoa, dry
    1/2 cup water
    1 TBS craisins
    20 raisins
    2 tsp cinnamon, divided
    6 walnut halves

Directions

Rinse quinoa and place in small sauce pan. Add water, craisins, raisins, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil over high heat. Stir, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for ten to fifteen minutes. Is done when all water is absorbed and quinoa is translucent. Remove from heat, place in bowl and stir in walnut halves. Sprinkle top with remainder of cinnamon.
