    1 lb potatoes, cut into cubes
    1 lb asparagus
    1/2 cup chicken broth
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1 tbsp butter
    1 tbsp flour
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs


Put the potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring the water up to a boil and boil the potaotes for 10 minutes, or until tender. In the mean time cut the tips of the asparagus off and reserve. Cut the rest of the asparagus into 1 inch pieces. Remove the potatoes from the liquid and add the asparagus. Boil for 3-5 minutes, or until tender.
Season the potatoes with salt and pepper and mash. Remove the asparagus and transfer into a food processor or blender. Season the asparagus and pure.
Pour the liquid out of the pot and return to the heat. Melt the tablespoon of butter. Stir in the flour and let it cook for 1 minute. Stir in the broth and cream. Bring sauce to a boil. Stir in the potatoes and asparagus pure.
Preheat the oven to 350. Add the potato mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Top the mixture with the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Bake for 25 minutes.
