Ingredients

    5 squares (oz) unsweetened chocolate
    3/4 cup butter
    1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cherry juice, from frozen cherries or cherry puree
    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray butter flavored Pam on the bottom and sides of a 9x13 inch pan.

Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter in microwave. Refer to the box the chocolate came in for proper melting instructions as it varies by brand. Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate/butter mixture. Let cool about 5 minutes.

Beat in eggs then stir in vanilla. Stir in the cherry juice or puree. Make sure the cherry is blended in well.

Combine flour and salt, then stir into the chocolate mixture. Spread into the 9x13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 33-38 minutes. Brownies are ready when a toothpick put into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Cool.

Makes 15 approximately 1.5" square brownies.
