    4 # chuck roaswt
    1T. olive oil
    1 T. salt
    1/2 t. pepper
    6 med. onions , sliced
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    3/4 c water
    2 T. splenda
    3 T. dijon mustard
    2 T. vinegar


Trim fat. Sear beef in oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place onions on bottom of slow cooker. Add roast. Mix remaining ingredients. Add to cooker. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Remove beef and onions. Cut beef into slices. Skim fat from juices. Use corn starch mixed with cold water to make gravy from broth.
