Introduction

A quick, simple and healthy salad for lunch or dinner. A quick, simple and healthy salad for lunch or dinner.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    2 cups or half a head of lettuce
    Beet tops from 1-2 bunch of beets (about 2 cups)
    3 large tomatoes, cubed
    1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced
    2 6oz tuna steaks, ahi preferred
    Montreal steak seasoning
    1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Wash beet greens and lettuce and tear into bite sized pieces. Wash tomatoes and cut into half inch cubes. Peel cucumber and slice.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in medium skillet over medium high heat til hot. Season both tuna steaks on both sides with steak seasoning. Grill until almost half done, then turn steaks. Grill until almost half done on the second side. Remove from grill and let stand. Slice after 5-10 minutes.

Prepare salad for individuals preference. Add tuna steak slices on top of salad and pour red wine vinegar and oil over the salad. Season to taste and enjoy.
