    1 large (5.1 oz.) package instant vanilla pudding.
    3 cups nonfat milk
    2 cups lite cool whip
    50 reduced fat vanilla wafers
    4 large bananas


Prepare pudding according to package directions using 3 cups cold nonfat milk; fold in half the cool whip.

Reserve 6 vanilla wafers and 1 banana; slice remaining bananas.

Arrange a layer of vanilla wafers on bottom of a 2-quart round baking dish or bowl. (I use a trifle bowl for appearance.)

Spread one-quarter pudding over vanilla wafers; top with banana slices. Place wafers around sides of dish; continue layering wafers, pudding and bananas, ending with pudding. Cover and chill 3 hours or until serving time. Slice remaining banana. Garnish with banana slices, remaining 6 wafers and whipped topping.

( I use all of the bananas and wafers in the layers and top with the remaining cool whip before chilling. I find this keeps the bananas from turning dark. I just don't garnish the top.)
