This Apple crisp is just the right amount of sweet and it has a nice crispy top. This Apple crisp is just the right amount of sweet and it has a nice crispy top.

    5 gala apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    3/4 cup quick cooking oats
    1/2 cup butter, melted


Lay apple slices in an 8-inch round casserole dish.
Melt butter and combine with sugars, flour, and oats. Spread this mixture on top of the apples.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes (cooking time varies depending on the apples - test readiness by piercing apples with a fork).
Note: if using an apple like granny smith, sprinkle 1/3 cup water on the apples before cooking.
