Traditional Mexican spicy lime cooked shrimp. Traditional Mexican spicy lime cooked shrimp.
Number of Servings: 4


    1 pound raw shrimp (any size) no shells and deviened.
    Fresh squeezed lime juice enough to cover shrimp in bowl
    Cilantro bunch leaves only
    Red Onion .25 cup
    1 Jalepeno


Place shrimp in bowl.
Sqeeze fresh lime juice into a blender. You will need enough liquid to submerge all the shrimp estimate 10 medium size limes.
Add to blender a bunch of cilantro leaves only. Add to blender jalapeno to taste. I like half a jalapeno seeds removed, depending on how spicy you like it add more or less.
Blend contents of blender.
Pour over shrimp and stir.
Slice red onion into rings. Mix into shrimp.
Cover bowl and place in the refrigerattor. Shrimp is ready when they turn pink. Note: acid in the lime juice cooks the shrimp no heating needed. Serve chilled on tostada shell or as an addition to a salad.
