Ingredients

    150g lardons(bacon)
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, sliced thin
    0.5 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    1 stock cube
    assorted herbs (whatever you like!)

Directions

heat the olive oil in a 3L pot
add lardons and sauté for 2 minutes
add carrot and onion, sauté
add garlic
cook all for 2 minutes
add 1L water
bring to boil
add herbs, balsamic vinegar, and stock cube
add lentils
reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes.
DONE
