This was Excellent! I used stevia and Kashi Crunch cereal instead of splenda and granola, because that's what I had on hand. I think Kashi Crunch Cinnamon might be good too. This will be even better in the fall when the baking apples are more available. - 3/16/13

With granola do you really need a sweetener? I've been away from sugar so long I don't even like it on many foods!
If you have to have a sweet why not a drizzle of honey, a dash of brown sugar or real maple syrup?
I'm not into all this fake stuff!
I make warm apples with just cinnamon and love i

I am eating it as I type. It is great I used sugar not splenda and Special K's Low Fat Granola and it was delicious!!!! I never thought to microwave apples. The house smelled of it as soon as I opened the microwave door. This will definitely be my new "dessert"!!!! - 11/28/10

I made this, except I used a packet of stevia (SweetLeaf stevia plus) instead of splenda. Come on guys, enough with the artificial sweeteners. - 1/16/08

This makes a great snack for work. I put the cut up apple with a drizzle of honey and the granola in a container the night before. Then I can just heat it up for a healthy snack in the afternoon. - 2/11/08

I had this for an afternoon snack and I was full and happy until dinner later. Truvia instead of Splenda, though. I used Bear Naked brand of honey and almond granola found in the natural section of my favorite grocery store. - 12/31/17

I loved this! It is now one of my favorite breakfast foods. I used Stevia instead of Splenda and I put a handful of blueberries in with it. I found a yummy organic french vanilla almond granola in the bulk section of my local grocery store. I also topped it with the Cool Whip Free. - 5/18/12

Really good--I put a little erythritol instead of splenda (not a fan of chemically derived sugar substitutes). This felt like a sweet "breakfast out"--and the fiber from the apple made it filling. Meawhile, it has fewer calories than my normal breakfast! Great! - 5/29/11

I made this on the stove like some people had recommended. Just wondering, how long do you cook it? I just put Pam in the skillet and put the apples in for about 7-8 minutes. They were crunchy. Still good, but would have been better if softer. Are they soft if you microwave them? - 3/18/10

You should wash, core and dice apple. Most of the vitamins are in and just under the peel! You are throwing away the most beneficial part of the apple! I also use less granola and honey instead of Splenda, which isn't good for you and can exacerbate certain illnesses. Sent with love - 1/25/08

I have already made this twice. My kids love it also. It is a perfect snack for them when they get home from school. When it is chilly out, it warms them right up! - 1/23/08

I made this for breakfast and it was great, but I did not use the Splenda. I think I will add some honey and brown sugar next time to help soften the granola a bit. I also liked some else's idea of warming up the apples in a skillet. - 1/23/08

I made this once and liked it but didn't like the way the apples cooked in the microwave. So, I made it again but cooked the apples in a skillet with a little pam. Mucho Better! Also topped with Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal. Delish! - 1/23/08

Just made it this morning and LOVE IT!!!
I'm not fond of granola and used 1/2 a teaspoon of brown sugar instead of it and no splenda. It never occurred to me to just warm an apple in the microwave. WONDERFUL IDEA!!!
