Spruce up your boring oats with some fruit and spice! Spruce up your boring oats with some fruit and spice!
Number of Servings: 1


    1/2 cup dry oats (quick or old-fashioned)
    1/2 cup mango chunks/slices (frozen works well!)
    1 cup water
    2 tsp. sugar, brown sugar, or substitute to reduce calories
    1-2 dashes of salt
    cinnamon to taste
    splash of vanilla
    additional spices if desired
    1/4 cup milk


Stir ingredients, except for milk, into microwave-safe dish or into a pan. Cook in microwave or on stove according to the directions on the oats, stirring frequently. Break up/smash/cut fruit as it warms to release more flavor. Stir in milk before serving. Substitute with other fruits such as bananas, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
