Number of Servings: 4


    1 T garlic--ground
    2 oz olive oil
    dash of salt
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp rosemary
    1 bay leaf--whole
    1 pound raw shrimp with shells on
    4 oz white wine


1. In medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
2. Add spices and garlic to pan and heat quickly.
3. Add shrimp, shell on and cook until just barely pink.
4. Add wine; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
5. Serve immediately.

This serves 4 people-- (4 oz of shrimp and 1/4 of juice)

This is an interactive eating meal. Serve in bowls with sauce. Pick up shrimp, suck off juice, pull off shell, re-dip in sauce and eat. This goes great with a veggie-packed salad and sourdough bread (dip the bread in the sauce--yum!). We have also eaten it over brown rice with asparagus or with whole wheat pasta. For both of those, remove shells before cooking.
