    *Summer Squash, 1.5 cup, sliced (remove)
    Butter, salted, 2 tbsp
    Onions, raw, .75 cup, chopped
    Vegetable Broth, 4 cup
    Garlic Clove, minced, 1 clove
    Orzo Pasta, 0.75 cup
    *Lemon Juice, 1 fl oz
    Thyme, ground, .5 tbsp
    Pepper, black, .25 tsp
    Salt, .25 tsp


Melt butter in large saucepan over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic; saute 3 minutes or until tender. Add squash; saute 2 minutes. Ad broth and bring to a boil. Add pasta; cook 10 minutes or until tender. Stir in juice, thyme, salt, and pepper.

    Would halve the broth and keep other measurements the same. I like thick soups and live alone so 2 cups is perfect. - 5/26/09
