    1 cup soft margarine
    1 cup Splenda
    2 eggs
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    2/3 cup cocoa powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 cup chocolate chips or mini chips


1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. In a large bowl, beat margarine, Splenda, eggs, and vanilla until fluffy.
3. Combine the flour, cocoa, and baking soda; stir into the margarine mixture until well blended. Mix in the chocolate chips and optional nuts.
4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until set.
5. Cool slightly on cookie sheets, transfer to rack and cool completely.
Makes 24 - 36 cookies
