Introduction

An excellent meal that is both filling and nutritious. You need only a salad on the side for a complete meal. An excellent meal that is both filling and nutritious. You need only a salad on the side for a complete meal.

Ingredients

    1 - medium onion, chopped
    1/2 cup - celery, chopped
    1/2 cup - mushrooms, chopped
    1 lb. - extra lean ground beef
    1 can - bean sprouts, drained, reserve 1/2 cup
    1/2 cup - bean sprouts juice
    1/2 cup - Minute Rice Brown Rice
    1 can - Cream of Mushroom Soup
    1/4 cup - soya sauce
    1 cup - dry chow mein noodles

Directions

-Saute onions, celery & mushrooms until tender
- add ground beef & cook until brown
- add bean sprouts and mix in, then add juice
- add minute rice, and thoroughly mix in
- add mushroom soup and mix in
- add soya sauce and mix in
- simmer for approximately 10 minutes
Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
- pour ingredients into a casserole dish ( makes 2 small casseroles or 1 large)
- top with dry chow mein noodles until covered
- bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly.

Serve with a salad and a roll.
Makes 8 - 1 cup servings.
