Ingredients

    11.5 oz Pillsbury Cornbread Twists
    8 tsp spicy brown mustard
    2 egg whites, whisked
    8 fat-free hot dogs
    1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray. Unroll cornbread twists and separate into 8 pieces using perforations as a guide. Pinch together perforations between twists to make 8 solid pieces. Roll each piece to 4x5" rectangle. Spread 1 tsp mustard on each rectangle. Place hot dogs on rectangles, roll up and pinch ends to seal. Place bread crumbs and egg whites in separate shallow dishes. Roll corn dogs in egg whites and then bread crumbs, turning to coat. Place on baking sheet and bake 25 min. Yields 8 servings.

Pillsbury corn bread twists are discontinued. So, I made my own cornbread batter, which was way too thin to wrap the hot dogs. When I thickened it with more more cornmeal, they ended up very dry and hard. My kids and husband still loved them, so I'll try them again. - 7/5/11
