Spicy and tangy. My family went crazy over this!
We use fresh parmesan cheese as a topping.

Ingredients

    Cooked Shrimp-24 oz. (tails removed)
    Vodka Sauce-Bertolli, 1-24 oz. jar
    Minced Garlic-1 tbsp.
    Crushed Red Pepper, 1/2 to 1 tsp (optional)
    Basil, 1 tbsp
    salt & pepper to taste (optional)
    Whole Wheat Penne Rigate Pasta-12 oz box (cooked according to directions)

Directions

Prepare pasta according to directions.
In separate pan, combine shrimp, vodka sauce, garlic, red pepper, basil, salt & pepper. Heat thoroughly.
Either serve shrimp mixture over the pasta or mix together. My family enjoyed this mixed together so that the flavors melded.

Makes 12, 1 cup servings.

    This is such a basic recipe... You could also use grilled chicken ( which I do because my daughter has a shellfish allergy) and add some frozen peas. This is a really simple week night recipe. - 4/1/11

    I shop at ShurSave, Redners, and Price Chopper. I've gotten the vodka sauce at all three-it's usually with the regular pasta sauces. Hope this is helpful!
