    1/4 cup Italian Dressing
    2 - 14.5 oz cans of Chicken Broth
    2 cups water
    1/2 cup diced carrots
    1/2 cup diced celery
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 can Dark Red Kidney Beans Rinsed
    14.5 oz can of Diced tomatoes with Basil Garlic and Oregano (do not drain)
    1 1/2 cups small pasta noodles (shells)
    3 cloves garlic minced
    Oregano (dried)
    Basil (dried)
    Parsley (dried)


In a medium pan, heat italian dressing over medium high heat. Add, celery, carrots, onions and garlic to pan and cook 2-3 minutes until tender but crisp.

Place contents of the pan into a crock-pot and add, chicken broth, water, kidney beans and tomatoes. Season to taste with salt, peper, oregano, pasley, basil. Cook over low heat covered for 6-7 hours of over high heat for 3 hours.

Add pasta noodles and cook for another 10 to 15 minutes or until pasta is soft.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired.

    Sounds easy and nutricious; I like the idea that I can leave it cook all day in a slow cooker and have my meal ready to eat when I get home. - 6/15/09
