Introduction

This is a very common dish in Costa Rica we eat it as Breakfast acompanied with Eggs and tortillas and shour cream and at times a piece of some kind of meat. It is very tasty! This is a very common dish in Costa Rica we eat it as Breakfast acompanied with Eggs and tortillas and shour cream and at times a piece of some kind of meat. It is very tasty!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 cups of cooked white rice
    11/2 cups of Black beans cooked (canned is fine)
    1 Tbsp Butter
    1 Tbsp Ketchup
    1/2 cup of Diced onion raw
    1/2 Bell peppers diced
    1 Tbsp Cilantro Chopped
    1 envelope of Goya seasoning (sazon)

Directions

Place pan on stove and turn stove on to medium heat. Add butter and melt. Sautee onion and bell pepper, add the beans simmer for about 3 min then add the ketchup, cilantro and seasoning. Mix together and simmer for about 2 min. Add rice and mix together make sure that all ingredients are incorprated with each other.
You can serve this with eggs, Bacon or ham and bread or tortillas.
