Introduction

I'm not a vegetarian but I LOVE the Morning Star Soy Crumbles. I have used them as a ground beef substitute in many of my favorite dishes and have not been dissapointed. They taste great, are a good source of protein and a huge calorie saver (only 80 per serving). I'm not a vegetarian but I LOVE the Morning Star Soy Crumbles. Ingredients

    1 small onion (diced)
    1 tsp minced garlic
1 large (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes
1 small (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 small (4 oz) can diced green chili
1 can (16 oz) kidney beans
1 can (15.8 oz) great northern beans
1 bag (12 oz) Morning Star Soy Crumbles (frozen)
    2 tsp cumin
    1 1/2 tbsp chili powder

Directions

Chop onion and saute with garlic in a large pot. (I just spray a little Pam in the bottom to saute). When onions are tender add all tomatoes, beans, and green chilis. Bring to a boil and add spices. Simmer 10 minutes. Add soy crumbles and cook an additional 10 minutes.

*OPTIONAL: If you like it spicy (like I do) add about 2 tbsp Tapatio hot sauce....or more :)

Makes 12 1-cup servings.
