This is the best black bean recipe - got it from my Cuban In-Laws! This is the best black bean recipe - got it from my Cuban In-Laws!
Number of Servings: 8


    1 Package (16 Oz) of Black Beans
    1 Large Onion
    1 Tablespoon of Cumin Powder
    2 Tablespoons of Chili Powder
    1.5 teaspoons of paprika
    6 clove of garlic


1. Soak beans over night in a large pot covered with water

2. After soaking rinse beans and put beans back in pot. Put enough water in the pot to cover the beans with 4" of water

3. Chop remainder of ingredients and put in the pot

4. Bring all ingredients to a boil and then reduce to low (3-4) simmer for 4 hours.

Serve over 1/2 cup of white rice (soaks up bean juice) with tomatoes. Salt to taste.
