    1 cup Granny Smith apples, pealed, cored, and chopped
    3 cups whole cranberries
    1/4 cup sugar
    6 packets equal or other sugar substitute
    1 cup water


Combine sugars and water and bring to a boil. Add apples and cranberries and return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Partially mash cranberries if desired. Cool completely at room temperature and then refrigerate.

Makes about 3 cups. Serving size is 1/4 cup or 4 TBS.
