An easy coffee cake that's great for Sunday brunch! An easy coffee cake that's great for Sunday brunch!

    1.5 cup flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 milk
    1 egg
    1.5 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt

    1/4 cup flour
    3 tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tbsp. butter
    1.5 tsp. cinnamon


*Combine the egg, almond extract, milk, vanilla, and sugar and mix until smooth.
*Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon and mix until a smooth batter forms.
*Bake in a greased 8 inch round or square pan at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
*While the cake is baking, combine the topping ingredients in a bowl until a crumbly mixture forms. (Use a pastry blender or two forks). Sprinkle topping on cake during the last five minutes of baking.
*Makes 9 slices.
