Introduction
Once you try this you won't want to go back to regular tuna again. Once you try this you won't want to go back to regular tuna again.Number of Servings: 16
Ingredients
-
2 cans of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
3T of Mayo
2T of lemon juice or white vinegar
and 1/4 C of Nutritional Yeast flakes (optional)
Directions
In food processor combine:
2 cans of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
3T of Mayo
2T of lemon juice or white vinegar
and 1/4 C of Nutritional Yeast flakes (optional)
Blend in food processor or blender until desired consistency (smooth like hummus or chunkier like tuna). Add relish if wanted afterwards and mix in with a spoon.
Put in container, cover and put in fridge to chill for a few hours. Put on favorite whole grain bread and enjoy.
Makes approximately 8 servings. This is a double recipe, so it can be cut in half and just one can of chickpeas used. More mayo can be used to taste. I do the full fat mayo. You can try it with light or fat free and see how it does.
