Introduction
Allspice is used liberally in Jamaican cooking, and goes great with bananas. This dish tastes like dessert, but has no added sugar!If you feel that the portions are too small, you can double up, add a tiny scoop of dairy-free vanilla ice cream, or even serve over pancakes.

Ingredients

3T vegan margarine
1/2t allspice
1/2t vanilla extract
4 large bananas
Directions
Recipe makes 8 servings of 1/2 banana each with sauce.
1. Cut each banana in half widthwise, then lengthwise (creating 4 long pieces per banana).
2. In a medium pan or skillet, melt the margarine.
3. Stir in the allspice and vanilla.
4. Add the bananas, stirring gently with (preferrably) a wooden spoon.
5. Cook for 3 minutes, or until the bananas are slightly softened and the sauce has thickened, stirring occasionally.
This dish is best served warm.
