    1 can 28 oz can Unico diced tomatoes
    1 can 19 oz. (680 ml) Hunt's Thick and Rich Roast Garlic
    and Herbs Pasta Sauce
    1 cup green pepper (chopped)
    1 large onion (chopped)
    1 cup celery (chopped)
    2 cloves Garlic
    2 tbs. basil
    2 cups TVP


Saute peppers, onions, celery, and garlic until translucent. Add tomatoes, and pasta sauce, bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer. Add TVP and stir.
Let simmers for 1 hour or to desired thickness.

This sauce is very thick, makes a great lasagna sauce as well.

    TVP is 'texturized vegetable protein'. It is dehydrated and when you add liquid to it you can use it as ground meat substitute. It is very versatile and can be used in loafs, burgers and riblets as well.
