Number of Servings: 12


    * 3 cups bread flour
    * 3 tablespoons white sugar
    * 1 teaspoon salt
    * 1/4 cup milk, heated to warm
    * 3/4 cup water, heated to warm + 2 tbsp
    * 2 tablespoons butter, softened
    * 1.5 tsp bread machine yeast
    * 1 egg white


Put milk, water, only 2 tbsp of the softened butter (the other tbsp will be used later) and egg white into the bread machine pan first. Add in all of the dry ingredients except the yeast. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the yeast.

Set bread machine to dough cycle and let the dough sit for 5 minutes after the cycle is finished. Remove the dough onto a floured surface and punch it down. Now divide the dough into 12 balls or rounds (or more if you prefer small rolls like dinner rolls). Place the rounds on a greased cookie sheet and place a damp towel over them to rise for an hour.

Preheat the oven to 350. Melt the remaining tbsp of butter and brush a thin layer over each roll. Place the cookie sheet in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls have browned.
