Introduction

southern favorite with good cornbread and pepper sauce. southern favorite with good cornbread and pepper sauce.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/2 a bundle of Fresh pink eye purple hulled peas Shelled and washed or 1 bag frozen pink eye purple hulled peas
    2 cups water
    1 beef bouillion cube
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1 tsp garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 packets of equal


Directions

Shell, pick and clean peas
on stove, bring to a boil water and bouillion cube.
add onion, garlic, peas and sugar
salt and pepper
you may need a more water
Bring to a boil and then turn them down let simmer for about 2 hours less time if you use frozen peas maybe 1 hour.

Serve with corn bread and pepper sauce
