    1 leek sliced
    2 carrots chopped
    3 stalks celery chopped
    1 tomato chopped
    chicken bovril made up with water
    pepper to taste


Chop all vegetables, and cook with spray oil in a heavy bottomed pan
Add stock after 5 minutes to cover vegetables
Simmer for 5 further minutes
Add rinsed dried split peas and cook for a further 40 minutes
searve topped with chopped herbs of your choice (I love corriander)
