    3/4 cup melted butter
    1 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup white sugar

    1 egg
    1 egg yolk
    1 tbsp vanilla extract

    2 cups multigrain flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp baking soda

1 pkg chocolate chips (I like milk chocolate)

Beat together the melted butter, brown and white sugar until well blended.

Add the egg and vanilla and continue beating until the colour lightens up considerably.

Mix the flour, soda and salt together and add to the egg mixture. Stir until combined.

Stir in the chips.

Line baking sheets with parchment and pour the batter into piles, 3 inches apart, 1/4 cup at a time.

Bake in preheated 300 degree fahrenheit oven for 13 to 20 minutes or until edges are just beginning to look golden.

Remove, let cool on sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire rack. Store in airtight container. Makes 15 cookies.
