Introduction

This turned out really good. A lot of flavor. WOuld probably even cut some of the fat & calories if you used turkey bacon and fat free or low fat sour cream. This turned out really good. Ingredients

    7 strips bacon, diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 tablespoons diced green chiles
2 cans (15 oz each) black beans, undrained
    1/2 cup taco sauce
    4 cups chicken broth
    1/2 cup sour cream
4 yellow corn taco shells, crumbled

Directions

In large pot cook bacon over medium heat 5 minutes; stir several times to prevent burning. Add onions and diced chiles. Cook 5 minutes or until onions begin to brown. Add entire contents of both cans of black beans, taco sauce and chicken broth. Stir to combine; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer on low 20 minutes to combine flavors. Remove half the soup and puree in food processor. Return pureed soup to pot and stir to combine. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and crumbles taco shells.
