    5 tsp. baking Soda
    2 cups boiling water
    1 cup butter
    4 eggs
    4 cups All-Bran
    2 cups Bran flakes (40%)
    5 cups all-Purpose flour
    1 quart buttermilk

Directions

Dissolve the baking soda in 2 cups boiling water (microwave). set aside to cool.
