Ingredients

    4 ounces linguine
    Olive Oil, 3 tbsp
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 Tbs. Jalapeno Pepper
    1/2 cup White Wine
Shrimp, uncooked, 12 large, peeled, deveined, tail intact
    12 spears fresh Asparagus
    1 Tbs. Lemon Juice
    2 cups fresh packed Basil
    2 Lemons wedges

Directions

Cook pasta in large pot of boiling water until tender.

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and jalapeno; saute 1 minute. Add wine; boil 2 minutes. Add shrimp, asparagus, and lemon juice. Toss until asparagus is just tender and shrimp are just opaque in center, about 3 minutes.

Drain pasta and add to skillet; add 2 cups sliced basil leaves and toss until basil wilts and sauce coats pasta, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper. Divide pasta between 2 plates. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and lemon wedges and serve.

Deleted the Jalapeno & basil. Added tomatoes and a pinch more salt. Delicious! - 10/24/11

I made this without the jalepeno pepper, and used red pepper instead. It was still delicious! - 4/17/07
