Introduction

    Red pepper

Directions

Place peppers on grill or oven, roast and turn ever 5 mins. Pepper should be chard...black on all sides. Once roasted, place in a pot and cover. Let stand til cooled. This helps with peeling. The skin will bubble up as it cools. Once cooled, place on cutting board. Peel off chard skin, remove seeds, slice in 4.

Now you can do either of the following:

~Place the slices in a jar, add chopped garlic. Fill 1/4 of the way up with olive oil and the rest with water. Seal and shake jar, place in refrigerator. Use these on sandwiches or on salads...yummo! Keeps for 2 weeks in frig.

~Place layered slices in freezer bag. Freeze up to 2 months. When needed dice and use in recipes...adds wonderful flavor.
