    3/4 C water
    1/4 C bulgur
    3 cups chickpeas, rinsed and drained
    1/2 cup cilantro
    1/2 cup green onions
    1/3 cup water
    2 Tbs flour
    1 Tbs cumin
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
    3 garlic cloves


Bring 3/4 C water to a boil. Add bulgur and cover for 30 minutes. Fluff when ready.

Preheat oven to 425.

In a food processor, put chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients in and process until smooth. Pour into a bowl and add bulgur and mix.

Make into 12 patties and bake on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray until golden brown on both sides. Serve in a pita with cucumber sauce, lettuce and tomato. Serves 6
