Ingredients
-
2 cups Corn Bran Squares cereal
1 cup Shreddies cereal
1 cup Cheerios cereal
1 cup Multigrain Cheerios cereal
1 cup Honey Nut Cereal
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup shreeded UNSWEETENED coconut
1/2 cup sunflower seeds UNSALTED
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
Makes approximately 16 servings of 1/2 cup each. This is so easy, and you can add different dried fruits, or nuts or cereals.
Place all the ingredients in a sealable plastic bag. Shake vigorously to coat with the spices. Store tightly sealed.
I make this with whatever I have on hand. My kids love it, and I know there is not much sugar, and lots of whole grains. For an added treat I throw in a handful of chocolate chips. This is great packed in individual sandwich bags for a grab-n-go snack. If you need it completely nut-free for schools, omit the Honey Nut Cheerios (they have almonds, not peanuts), just add more of something else.
